The MAKO II UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is a low-cost highly reliable platform ideally suited for DoD and DHS missions ranging from reconnaissance and surveillance to natural disaster response. The aircraft's avionics suite provides autonomous waypoint navigation that allows operation at an extended range over 50 miles. The MAKO II's 25 lb. payload capacity permits the use of a variety of sensors for specific missions. The base version of MAKO II includes a VHF command link for manual flight along with a UHF modem for autopilot telemetry. Additionally, the MAKO II can be outfitted with an EO/IR camera on a stabilized turret system that provides steady, high-quality, day night imagery. Additional avionics and payload configurations can be tailored to address specific customer mission requirements. The wide range of configurable capabilities offered by the MAKO II make it an ideal multi-purpose, low-cost air vehicle.
